How bad is it to be lazy?

I couldn’t do it, Oppo. Can I blame the heat?

Kinja'd!!!

I woke up today in a bad mood with this forecast. I know this is nothing to our own Skychismo, but it is too hot for Vespa or Sunchaser, and that makes me blue. I really don’t want to go outside. So I am being lazy and did not go to work. Friday, we head to the coast for Labor Day, and hopefully a beer woth CaptDale is in my future.

I think Toby approves, but he does look a bit disappointed. I made a few calls, halfheartedly answered some emails, and am occasionally monitoring my laptop. Mostly I am hanging around with the dogs and doing nothing.

I have rationalized that I deserve a mental health day, which is nonsense, but I am hanging my hat on it. It isn’t the end of the world, Oppo, is it? Am I allowed to have a lazy day? Daisy doesn’t care.

Kinja'd!!!

At least Pumpkin approves of my choices.

Should I feel guilty, or revel in my laziness?

On the other hand, I have a great opportunity tomorrow to meet with a company in constriction that needs a negotiator for collective bargaining, which is my most favorite thing to do. So that will be a different day.

If it was 110 where I was I would probably end up climbing in the refrigerator.

Your lows are a touch too hot for my tastes, so yeah, I’m saying 100% justified.

That’s not lazy, that’s intelligent. 110 degrees? Yikes.

People shouldn’t live in a place that gets that hot. You are certainly entitled to not do anything in this kind of heat.

Ehh its a dry heat though, that doesnt count. Sure 110 and dry is still hot but its not unbearable. Either way, you are entitled to laziness whenever you please! No harm in living your life and doing whatever you wanna do.

Guilt is all an internal thing. It ruins my “I’m sick of you” days when I let it. If you end up accomplishing what you need to, then it’s all fine.

Also, temps over 100 without air conditioning can be dangerous. So, Sunchaser and Vespa are unreasonable today.

technically if you are looking at emails / checking your laptop / making calls, you’re still working.

i see no issue either way.
