I worked a museum that had one of those for us to ride, in costume no less. Riding an ordinary bicycle is reall damn hard to do, even with a hand brake. There are no gears, those are direct drive, so your thighs are your brakes. They also don’t turn for shit. And when you go down, you go hard since you sit 4 feet off the ground.
Riding one of those isn’t worth it, and this asshat needs to find something else to feed his attention complex with. Or get help.

Oh you have no idea. Alameda, where Jim Morrison of the Doors went to high school a few blocks from my home, has a biker “gang” of folks consisting of riders of old timey bikes.
