Lewis Hamilton won today’s Belgium Grand Prix with an incredible drive after a yellow brought out by yet another on track skirmish between the two Force India drivers, Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez. He somehow managed to hold off Sebastain Vettel and the factory Ferrari, shod on the purple compound tires, while using the supposedly much harder yelllow compound, much to the amazement of all and the confusion of the Ferrari team
(since this place seems to forget when the dude wins somehow)

He drove a solid race. His consistency is strange this season - some weekends he’s untouchable and other weekends he can’t stop complaining about the car or tyres or whatever.
I was hoping Vettel would get past then they would continue trading places (something reminiscent of the final laps of the 2008 GP) but alas, it was not meant to be.
Once the field spread out, there really wasn’t much going on. Force India has been giving us the most entertaining racing this season at the expense of their own constructors points. They really put their money where their mouth is by letting Ocon and Perez race freely.

hammy the driver is a great... hammy the person is a twat... but he’s been mostly nice this year so i’ve turned down the hate (giving the place back to bottas was especially note worthy... never would have happened had it been rosberg)

M8 this is not a “car-racing” site, this is Oppo, the OG off-topic subsite belonging to Gawker that grew after the Jalopnik community sought a new place to interact with each other.
