Software engineer living in Houston. So in theory there are jobs there, and ones that might even cover the high cost of living, but that whole foreigner thing makes everything more tricky (I’d assume, I haven’t ever tried searching for jobs in Canada).

We have a fairly large software industry. It’s a great city, but real estate is insane. Also, we have a foreign buyers tax due to Chinese speculation. It would be difficult for an American to move here.

This is the Seattle area, I couldn’t even venture a guess. Right now I think we have 6-7 that have essentially confirmed. One that was thwarted by work. A couple others that aren’t certain, but could come.
Regardless, it is probably going to be the biggest PNW meet thus far.

I am out in Richmond, but as gmctavish said, I don’t think there are many of us locally.
