Kinja'd!!!

I fixed the mower I bought for $40! What caused the crankcase to fill with gas was the vacuum powered fuel pump sucked in gas as well as a vacuum and a cracked o-ring on the carb main jet seal was filling the intake full of gas as you try to start the engine. Also the starter solenoid was bad.

Painted the engine cover blue :D

This thing is fast and fun to drive! I cut my yard in half the time compared to my 42" tractor, even though this is a 30".

No longer smokes, starts in less than 2 seconds and ready to go. I do need to check the transmission oil.

$40?! I’m jealous. That’s a nice machine.

Dixon?

If so, I’m quite jelly. I mean, regardless, I’m still quite jelly of ZTR...

Yep. Never knew they made a zero turn this small.

When I was in grade school, I used to cut people’s lawns with a ‘68 Snapper Comet 26". I had so many lawns to cut that I started running out of time, so my dad agreed that we could get something bigger.

I ended up with a Dixon 46" 14hp mower that immediately halved the time I spent mowing. I loved that mower, and used it faithfully for 5 years until I graduated high school. My parents agreed to pay for half of it, but I ended up paying 75% or better of the loan. My mom sold it when I went away to school because she was afraid of it. I don’t blame her, and I’ve had no use for it since, but that thing was the best and I’d still love to have it today.

Cool! Glad it worked out for you! I didn’t know they made zero turns that small.

Same. I was quite surprised. It makes my push mower seem obsolete.

My dad tried it out and he’s scared of it. Tried to get him to drive it full throttle :D
