Not how I expected to start my Saturday

My mom called a little before 7 crying. Long story short, her oldest needed to be taken for his deep sleep. He was a month shy of 15 and had cancer.I drove to her to the vet so she could hold him. While sad, it was clearly his time. My mom is doing better than expected. I’m ok because even though he was around when I was in high school, he has always been her dog. I’m just glad he’s in a better place.
