Last night, filled up the Grand Marquis and we broke a new record for crappy mileage in it. It got a whopping 13.8 MPG on this tank. Ussually we could see about 18-20 but it has gone down because now my girlfriend who drives the car does pretty much only city driving to get to her work and it is only about a 10 mile commute, maybe less. So just a bit of short little drives. The nice thing is, even though the MPG sucks, she still gets at least two weeks out of a tank. And I still love the car, it just is so comfy.

Wow I’m averaging 18 in my P71 but mostly freeway and a tankfull only lasts a week.

Well before we moved and she had a highway drive to work she got 18-20 but now its like 13-16

Seems about the same for me but I don’t think I’ve got worse than 15. Like ya said though if a tank is lasting her 2 weeks who cares.

LoL. I went from a Passat TDI (my 3rd TDI) to a Town Car. I drive about 6k miles annually now mostly in-town so I feel your pain. Where exactly was that photo taken? Looks just like the garage at my office in CT.

My p71 will do 22 on the highway, about 15 around town. A few years back, one winter I managed 11.5 on a tank - it was sub-zero temperatures, I drove it about 10 miles a day, and (I would later find out) the MAF was really dirty (airbox warped and let salt spray up the intake).

Yeah its pretty funny because I drive a TDI but I drive like 35k miles a year, so when I drive her car I am blown lol. And that was taken in the garage in my office in MD

I do need to clean all of that up but honestly I think its just bad because she doesn’t drive far but there is traffic and A/C on the way home from work for her every day so about half idle and half driving

My commute is 6 miles r/t, and a tank generally lasts about two weeks here also. Uh, was that a road head reference you slyly worked in there?
