1992 Isuzu Gemini Irmscher R. Same as this one in red, with the factory mounted optional rally lights! 4WD, about 185hp, “rally tuned” suspensions or whatever that means and something so damn rare that I’m sure someone, somewhere, will want it!
I spent a bit of time with it (but took no pictures, which is why you end up with one I found on Google instead) and it looks and sounds great! I didn’t drive it though, so we’ll see how things go in a couple of weeks! Genuinely exited!
Today I also bought another Rover Mini, a Mk3 Supra with the 2L Turbo engine and a cheap Honda Beat. But weirdly, the Gemini is the one I’m the most stoked about haha.

lol, it’s my job to buy and sell cars, those are not cars I’ll keep for myself. And I’m fairly certain I’ll find someone for it... And if I don’t I get to enjoy it for a while anyway :D

Beat are common here... Fun but you can find them super easily. Cappuccino are fairly common too. That Isuzu though, I probably won’t find too many.

The AWD system is very different I think... If I’m not mistaking the Isuzu sends like 65% of torque to the rear. But yeah, power to weight ratio are probably similar. The Isuzu also has 4-wheel steering.

Probably fairly cheap... I’m guessing around $6k, shipping to the US included. Don’t take my word for it yet, I have to factor all my costs first, but it should be in that ballpark. As for importing it into the US, it’s actually fairly simple but should cost you an extra $600 or so before it gets a US title...

I had an irrational desire for the US version (Isuzu Stylus) as a kid in the early nineties. They had a really unique look at the time. The best we got was the XS version with the DOHC motor.
I never know they made an AWD turbo 4WS version. After seeing this, it seems every Japanese automaker had one in the early 90's!
I’d still rock an Impulse Coupe or Stylus....if I could find a running one any more. I see Geo Storms once in a while but never an Impulse.
The older Impulses were really cool too. I liked the mid-eighties Scirocco, which had a similar style.

I’m glad I wasn’t on Oppo when this first showed up! Long story short, my Fiat will be paid off much sooner than expected and I am putting some cash away to buy something small and weird from you as soon as I get a garage to put it in. My coworker helpfully pointed out that I don’t need reliable transportation since I’m not traveling for work anymore, so... !
