Now, it might be the fact that I got to cruise around with the roof down in beautiful 75 degree weather when I did the pre-delivery inspection on it, but it’s a pretty nice little drop top. I feel like if it was a little cheaper (or at least offered cheaper trims) we’d sell a whole lot more.
But, it was built well, comfortable, I’m 6'4" and actually fit in it both with the roof up and down, and the 1.6T had a good amount of pep in the mid range where it matters.

It looks like its comfortable, but it looks boring. To me its in the same vein as convertible they don’t make anymore: something that’s comfortable for a family. You know, sedan based convertibles like the Chrysler 200, Toyota Solara etc. I wouldn’t buy one new, but I would look at it considering that right now a Mustang Convertible is probably the only other convertible that you can fit 4 in comfortably without spending obscene amounts on say, an S Class convertible.

My dad really, really wanted one of these.
I convinced him the turbo 4 Camaro convertible was the better option.

All these things are true. I just think it could do so much better if they updated it from its original 2014 design and interior to match the rest of the Buick line.

It really has a second set of tail lights INSIDE the trunk?

There are actually three of these in my neighborhood. I can tell there are three by the rainbow of colors they cover: grey blue, grey black, and just grey. With the top down it’s actually a decent looking little car.
Would the backseat on one actually fit a real human with legs, or just a torso though?

From the looks of it, real humans with non-removable legs.

In the end the camaro probably is if you’re willing to give up a bit of ride comfort and a somewhat usable rear seat.

Cheap drop-tops are a thing of the past. It used to be pretty much every compact, sporty or not, seemed to have a convertible version.
... Is the Cascada going to become the new LeBaron?

They’re for emergencies since the main lights are entirely on the trunk lid — so your hazards can be visible even when it’s open.
Audi A1s have them too and some Minis I think.
