1992 Toyota Celsior with only 18,000 miles on it.   https://www.japaneseclassics.com/vehicle/1992-toyota-celsior-type-c/

Also some very strange seat covers.

Lace covers on the seats are extremely normal for JDM large sedans. I think it’s meant to help keep things clean - so it’s the JDM equivalent of a plastic couch cover?

CP at any price, unless you’re really into trolling people on the streets or can’t find a clean LS400. There is nothing functionally unique to the RHD Celsior.

Automatic = CP.

Now that that is out of the way,

That’s a nice example. Is it possible to swap the thing to a manual?

I mean. Why would you want a stick in a big sedan?

So essentially if one swapped Toyota badges onto an LS400, they’d have practically the same car in LHD?

Yes, although the entire steering wheel hub cover needs to be swapped since they didn’t have stick-on chrome logos back then.

Ah I see. Not that I’d consider doing this. I think I’d just pick a more interesting JDM car, that Pajero from a while ago was pretty awesome looking.

Love the 1UZ-FE but probably not worth it.

Besides the covers I also like the fact that the car has cloth seats. Japanese buyers still appreciate cloth seats in luxury cars. Good luck finding a Lexus with those.

Also so few miles on a car so old... hard pass.

Same reason I’d want one in anything... just more fun.

In something small and nimble, I completely agree with you. But I ask this, have you ever actually driven an LS400? The driving dynamics are best described as nautical. In my mind, to replace the automatic with a stick would completely go against the character/nature of the car.
