Just nearly t-boned someone for the second time this month, and today it was an Outback the same generation as my Legacy. That’s extra aggravating, c’mon dude, we basically have the same car, don’t turn in front of me and make me use like 7/10ths of my braking power.

When I had my A6, some guy in a new A6 ran a stop sign and I damn near murdered him.

I mean I thought that brown Subaru Outback, probably, was pretty damn good for almost all of my focus being on braking hard enough to hit him, but not so hard that I got rear-ended

Almost had an EF Civic hood ornament this morning-He no-look swerved into my lane to get around someone turning.

Had visions of ARB bumpers dancing in my head..

The closest I’ve ever come to clobbering somebody was a kid in an outback that blew a stop sign in front of us on his phone a year and a half ago or so... full panic brake and just missed him. Scared the cr@p out of my wife and I was just seething... The two things I remember distinctly are that the car was so close I could only see the top of the rear wheel as it passed in front of us and the kid didn’t look up from his phone... Half a second sooner and I would have t-boned him right in the driver door and he’d be in long term care with brain damage from cracking his head against the side window...

Jeesus. I remember when my dad replaced his ‘94 Taurus with his current ‘05 Taurus, and gained ABS with the 05. The day after he bought it, someone pulled out in front of him, saw him, and just stopped. ABS fully engaged, and my dad stopped about a foot short of the guys driver door. Definitely would’ve hit him if he was still in the ‘94
