Kinja'd!!!

You could get it with V8, Manual, RWD. It’s also a timeless design. I think it will be one.

“Timeless”. To me those headlights look dated, mostly due to that rear swoop that does nothing besides hold an orange reflective bit

Nice greenhouse anyway, but the devil is in the details. Goofy Bangled lighting, annoyingly swoopy interior, engine that seems to have a knack for smoking. If one just has to have an E60, a model that still attracts stereotypical BMW drivers in my area like there’s no tomorrow, maybe find an M5. You may never find one with the turn signal option package.

Or maybe from another angle, yes. They will only be more rare, so eventually, that manual V8 model will be a unicorn. But looking at how non-M E28, E34, E39s have fared, collectibility will be a ways off.

I have a feeling no with a lot of the Bangle era bimmers because of their reliability woes.

An example if the n54 market. Rwd, manual, twin turbo in line 6 cylinder cars which are becoming more and more worthless by the day and that’s with a huge aftermarket.

The v8 cars have worse reliability on top of that and a smaller aftermarket.

I test drove an E60 550i Sport 6-speed manual a few years ago. Thought it was quite tame and muted. I was rather disappointed.

There are a few bangle era BMWs that I think could be: M5, & M6 with manuals.

Woah I think you’re giving bangle too much credit. It’s been 13yrs I’m not ready to call it timeless. Plus that N62B44 kept the timing guide issues of the M62TUB44 and added valve sealing issues.
