Drop the front end another .5" so ride height is the same front to back. Also reattach my rear lip spoiler which has been partially sepperated for over a month now. And finally... Wash, wax and interior detail! May even put the car on blocks and clean the wheels separately... It’s just so satisfying

Other odds and ends that I may or may not feel like taking care of this weekend:

Check my brakes out. Drivers side front pad seems to be sticking a bit.

Parking brake cable needs to be adjusted... But after the clusterfuck that was getting the parking brake to work, I’m hesitant to fiddle with it

Set up a velcro tablet mount of some kind for longer trips. I like having a big map to look at even if I don’t necessarily “need” directions. Useful for finding cool roads/lakes/etc. In new places.

Maybe, maaaaaybe replace the foam padding in my seats with memory foam/gel padding.

Clean the engine bay. Which will last until I go offroading again so.... Not worth it

Play around with different front to rear tire pressures and rebound/compression rates. My tires are already almost dead, may as well mess around with a drift setup for a little while and see how super high tire pressures in the rear changes the driving dynamics.

I’ve always been to afraid mess with rear tire pressure for fear of making the car drift differently. I’d be interested to know how that goes for you.

I know the feeling. The coilovers make kicking the back end out effortless and controlled, but at first the newness just felt wrong.

I’ll be messing around with it 90% on dirt, 10% on street. Miata is a pretty bad drift platform to begin with since the wheelbase is so short and power is low, but I have seen a few guys do some crazy things with ‘em so who knows!

Been learning the art of the clutch kick because it’s summer and power oversteer is no longer cutting it. If Im spinning out at 35psi I don’t want to think about 50. Then again spinning out is more about learning. I feel I aught to get good at with the car at one consistent pressure before fiddling with with it.

I started the clutch last weekend on my 91 but my friend (have seen him twice in 5 years) just let me know he’s in town so it’s hangout time Saturday. Sunday... we’ll see.

What seats are those? How do they fit?

Bride low max replicas (same as real ones other than fabric). I’m 6'0, 185lbs, thin waist and broad shouldered. It took some time to adjust, but I love them now. Lots of bolstering, very snug from the center of the back upwards, but enough space around the waist to keep things comfortable. The leg bolstering is pretty intense, but the Miata footwell is so cramped that I’m not really giving up much leg space. Only issue is if you have a steering wheel without much dish, like my totally flat momo, there won’t be space for your right knee to raise when heel-toeing.

Hoping to keep my clutch up until the eventual engine swap and/or turbo! Fingers crossed
