Now that the date/time (09/09 09:30) and route (High Bridge Road / Snoqualmie River Valley) are mostly squared away, we need to decide on a destination.
Here is a map showing the current planned route, which will be updated once our destination is finalized:

I used MOD Pizza in Issaquah as the destination just to have a destination (it’s about as far as I expect we’ll go).
AestheticsInMotion has requested that the food not be Mexican, and I don’t see any reason we can’t work around that.
Options that seem to be family friendly and casual that are suitable, look interesting, or have been mentioned include:

I’m virtually certain I will have to work that Saturday AM, which fucking sucks because I only work maybe half a dozen Saturdays a year, but they are all effectively non-negotiable... I’ll make an attempt to get out of it.

I’m throwing this on my calendar.
I will say to avoid XXX Root beer if they have any show or event planned. Service is like an hour at minimum. Food is just Ok, root beer is quite delicious, but very expensive.

Well unfortunately I just moved away, but I will throw in my $0.02 as I have spent more than a decade in the ‘quah. MOD Pizza is still MOD Pizza - if you want something different, Flying Pie in Issaquah is amazing. Classic 80s pizza parlor, complete with pinball machines and table arcade games. Food takes a while, but there’s parking both in the plaza lot and lots of public lots around. Have heard Rhodie’s is good, didn’t get a chance to try it yet though. Triple XXX is spendy, the food’s not great, and it’s slow. The root beer floats are the only reason to go there, and it’s hard to call that lunch. Not a pho fan, so can’t comment on 4.
Some other suggestions - in North Bend, Scott’s Dairy Freeze is pretty good for a quick bite and has awesome milkshakes - I recommend the blackberry. Generally not too nuts at lunchtime, doesn’t get overrun with hikers until the afternoon. Snoqualmie Brewery is also pretty reliable up that way.

Scott’s Dairy Freeze was really busy when I was last in downtown North Bend (coincidentally at Rio Bravo, which I thought was good and different enough from SoCal, Tex-Mex, Hot Plate, and fast food variants to be worth the occasional trip out for a visit), so I’m not surprised to hear that it is good. I have added it to the list.
Good to know on Triple XXX, though probably a moot point as it looks to be losing by a landslide.
MOD is MOD... It’s predictable decent-quality pizza in a style I prefer, plus it’s good for a group with a lot of people with different preferences.
It looks like Rhodie’s is almost certainly the winner. Thankfully, they have a parking lot and good reviews.

It is popular, with a big lot, but no locals go there really at least not on weekends.
There is a taquiera (sp?) that we used to get street taco’s on along Gillman Blvd.
