The Eldorado may have killed my back. Took it to the cabin this weekend and had a spirited mountain drive on the way back Sunday. Come Monday morning I could barely move and it’s just gotten worse throughout the week.

Hopefully the doctor can fit me in today. If the car did this I’ll be trading it for something else real quick like.

Aren’t Cadillacs supposed to be super-comfy mile eaters?

Yeah man, the best places ive ever laid down miles was in 4th and 5th gen Seville. Did it feel bumpy or maybe your seat is fucked?

If your back doesn’t fit the seats, the seat will kill your back. No brand is exempt. Could happen to you in a Rolls too.

My nemesis happens to be Ford seats. Yours apparently is old Cadillac.

The rear suspension is in bad shape, but it only shows when I hit a decent bump. Not too bumpy on the trip though

The seat could be fucked. It looks to be in great shape; the leather is excellent and there doesn’t seem to be padding problems but I could be wrong

I can’t stretch right now. Any movement - ANY - causes immense pain

Ford seats do me bad too. Most of ‘em put my legs to sleep

I am thinking the same thing though; maybe these seats weren’t designed for someone so short and skinny

This.

I love my Tacoma, with the exception of the seat. We shopped a Camry at one point, and I hated that seat. The only Toyota seat I haven’t hated is the ‘16 Avalon we rented last year. That wasn’t hateful.

seriously push through the pain barrier

yes it’s going to hurt (ALOT!), but after a couple of weeks of doing some stretches you’ll feel a lot better.

Spirited driving.... Eldorado.... Mountain??? There you go! That’s why your back hurts! Bring it on route 66 and your bank will be fine. But if you have to hang onto your steering wheel for an extended period of time, those comfy seat who can’t hold yourself in place might hurt yourself after a while :)

I don’t really feel that comfortable in a Benz W124 seat, but I can state with absolute certainty that I can drive >20 hours in a 24 hour period and not suffer from it too much. Fit does matter.

I’m afraid to. Getting older and such; I’d like to get my doctor’s opinion before starting something myself for fear of just making this worse

I’ve never felt pain like this before

I swear Honda seats are deliberately designed to be uncomfortable, to keep you awake or something.
