Kinja'd!!!

I’m impressed it went in so cleanly, the puncture appeared to be the size of a nickel. Score one for South Florida road debris.

I’ve heard of nails and screws, but an entire pair of pliers? That’s a new one to me!

Although given south Florida, I’m surprised it wasn’t a dirty needle. :P

The highways down here are full of junk, worst I’ve seen. Don’t know what accounts for that.

Saw the same a couple years ago at work here in Ohio. Hole was a little bigger than that though, about a 1.25" rip on the tire liner. The pliers were pointier needle noses. There is a tire shop Parrish-McIntyre in Akron Ohio that had a large jar on the counter years ago with all the stuff they removed from tires. The funny things in that jar for me were the forks, spoons or the occasional railroad spike. It had many strips of metal, screwdrivers, small open end wrenches, screws and bolts. I think weirdest thing I think I’ve seen at my work was some nail clippers. They were completely inside like those pliers and still functional.

Here is a picture from web of side cutter in a tire. Its must be more common than you’d think.

When I saw the picture I thought that it had just fallen into the tire during installation. And then I read the post...

Have had that happen, only got the front half of the free pliers though.
