redesigned front loses the asymmetrical lights, and tail section looks smaller. exhaust can has also been trimmed down. Bike gets a TFT dashboard as well.
man...cant wait to see what BMW is going to pull out of their ass with this one. they have always reset the bar when it comes to the premier liter bike class. this time will be no different.

Shame about the new face, the funny face of the first/current one is a hallmark.

This thing is gonna be close to 20K USD, perhaps.

I never liked the asymmetric lights. I know why they did it, but it just reminds me of

I’m not so convinced. But we’ll probably never know since BMW isn’t willing to spend that kind of cash on racing.

INB4 the S1000singleR is released and praised for being perfect while simultaneously panned for being too perfect and having an engine without character

Well, I told myself I was going to get a Ducati 1198 or an older S1KRR but damn I’ll need to wait for this. I had the opportunity to ride the current RR on the track last weekend and it was marvelous.

Not really. Their WSBK team didn’t get very good results.

I don’t see anything earth shattering outside of “normal” headlights. Probably will have a comfy seat, along with heated grips and cruise control.

One of the main things setting apart the current crop of 1000cc sportbikes is electronics, which obviously you can’t judge from spy pictures. The current BMW already has an up-and-down quickshifter, TC, ABS, and electronic suspension. Will they be adding additional electronics? What type of upgrades will the existing ones get?

Also, V4 or GTFO.

Agreed, strong production bike doesn’t equate to strong moto gp bike

Already has comfy seat, heated grips and CC.

i dont know what else they will add. But when the bike was first released, no one thouvht about a sportbike having those features either

While I love the sound of a V4, they are heavy motors. Not to mention a PITA to work on

So like the current single r? Sure its down on HP... but 160hp still pulls like a train

It’s not the horsepower, it’s that i4s lack coolness

meh. being fast is better then being cool IMO.

That works only if your motor is better than the competition. Unfortunately for BMW the Tuono... and the Sduke... and the Speed Triple... and the MT10 (crossplane, so gets a pass) exist

All within spitting distance performance wise, all more interesting motors.

only one there that makes more power is the SDR...the speed triple is down like 30hp. and the tuono is another 100cc larger. and the BMW STILL out runs them in the quarter as well

not to mention: id rather do the maintenance on a BMW motor then a ape or a KTM....

Splitting hairs, even the speed triple is too much power for the street.

And if we’re talking maintenance... Yamaha
