I have a friend of my mom’s out the road who has a son that lives in Ontario and works at the Windsor FCA plant. He has a Dakota R/T of that vintage in that bright blue (Brilliant Blue Metallic I think it was called?) It has been sitting here outside under a tarp at his mom’s place for years as he has nowhere to store it in Ontario. Every time he comes home (he drives home and back from Ontario every time, I should mention, haha), he tunes it up, drives it a bit, renews the registration, etc.......then goes back to Ontario after his vacation is over. :(

I have the same problem with Corvettes, particularly the C4 and C5s. I think damn these things are cheap and great performance for the money…but I’ll probably be throwing up the whole time I’m sitting in that car from just pure plastic panel gapped ugliness overload on the inside.

I have been wanting a red R/T Dakota (preferably an 03) off and on since 04. I’ve been trying to justify not buying one for the last 5 years. It seems like a fun little truck to cruise around in and have fun.

I can attest to the plastic fantastic that is the C4, but the C5 should be at least a little better.
