Looking through my local CL’s V8 pick up selection and found this. All the “police” ones I have seen before only had a spot light and mismatched back seats.

If it’s like the U.K., it’s not illegal to have the blue lights, but is illegal to use them on a public highway unless you have what’s classed as a ‘right to use’, ie you work for an emergency service who has authority to use blue lights like police, ambulance, fire, search and rescue, etc... and consent from whoever is in charge.

A fake police car lights are illegal in Finland too, but the real police doesn’t seem to be too bothered if they are working in a foreign looking police cars. Imported US police cars are surprisingly common here.

115,000 highway miles with the equivalent of 300,000 miles from all the idling.
I believe having the lights varies by state in terms of legality. Using them would be illegal. There’s a company near me that has sold light sets bought from municipal surplus. They just list them as for “decorative purposes only.”

If it’s an ex-police car with livery, the reflective Battenburg livery must be replaced with non reflective, ‘Police’ wording must wear a sticker through it if used for police or classic car shows that can be removed (has to be registered as such) or removed entirely. If the vehicle is wearing a visible blue light or lightbar it must be kept covered or can be replaced with a clear lightbar.
Such as this Astra which may be owned privately and used as a show car or as film prop.

In Ohio you are allowed to have them but not use them on the road. The other thing is that, in Ohio white or yellow are the only legal options for flashing lights on the public road (unless you’re volunteer fire dept, they have red), all white flashing lights must flash at the same time, so no strobes or side to side lights :(
