I dropped by my now semi-local hobby store and ended up walking out with a new addition to my model train collection. I spotted this model kit on their shelves. Revell RX-7 2'n’1!
Look carefully!
Oooh, baby! Factory works fender flairs for an IMSA look? YES PLEASE!
...I didn’t buy it because I have zero skills when it comes to painting them. I can build them but I can’t paint the bodies worth a spit.
The boxcar was an impulse buy but it’s a valuable one! See that white block in the center? Underneath that is a track cleaning pad! So I can add it to my rolling stock and it’ll brush against the metal rails to improve conductivity and not look corroded!

I used to buy car touch up paint in spray can to paint my model cars. I would bend a clothes hanger and form it to hold it onthe inside. two light coats and let it dry. I would also paint the frames and any plastic that would show under the car flat black with spray can

Pretty nice indeed! Though a series 3 would be something I’d buy :)
