Tonight it’s some chocolate cake flavored UV vodka chased with lemon flavored sparkling water, or as I like to call it, the ‘holy crap we need to do some shopping’ special.
Hey, I need some sort of alcohol to numb the dumpster fire that is the Denver Broncos QB competition.

After a job interview this afternoon, which if selected for the position I’d be turning it down because they won’t match my pay, I hit a new brewery. I had a couple of their IPAs and a couple tasters of other things, but my favorite was this one called the ThaiPA. It has Thai-style flavorings to it, very different. I liked it better than the regular IPAs, which weren’t hoppy enough for my taste.

So I finally had one last year and... I was slightly disappointed. I think I put this beer on a pedestal and it didn’t live up to what I kept telling myself it would be. I’d like to try it again though.

A wine I shipped home from Italy while there for a wedding last spring. It’s not quite as good as I remember it being when I was at the winery, but it’s certainly not bad. Amusing side note: the case of wine we ordered from this winery showed up in a box labeled as bottles of olive oil, which undoubtedly saved the shipping company on the import duty, at the risk of my wine not getting to me if they’d opened it to check. Bastardi.
