I actually think the Civic hatches are some of the best sporty Civic designs in awhile. I wanted one when they first came out earlier this year, but after seeing most dealers wanting Accord money for them I passed.

I’ve been saying this. A hatch in that gray or black with dark wheels looks great. It really blows my mind that the same people who are in love with the FiST think this is the ugliest car to ever come out.

Nope. I see these quite often (not very often, Honda being a niche player) and they remain ugly looking yokes.
In further Civic news, Honda have announced that a diesel will be available next year. Available to me that is, YMMV.

Besides the fact that I can’t stand the new Civic because it’s a mess , I am very mad, yes mad, about the massive size. It’s the size of a flipping Accord. I know Americans get fatter each year and therefore demand ever larger cars, but Honda has done a good job of hiding the size increase of the Accord. The new Civic looks swollen and they did a terrible job with this generation.
I will concede that the hatch looks slightly better than the sedan. But that’s like saying I’d rather be bitten by a non-poisonous snake vs a poisonous one.

Both of those are also ugly, though not as ugly as the Civic. I gave been up close to one as my brother in law just bought one. It’s awful.

I kind of work at Honda dealer so I drive these a lot.
I’m confused why anyone would take the sedan over it honestly.
