I don’t particularly give a shit what you think about your title but it’s going. Especially from a person who, if I recall correctly, was too fragile to handle reading a book about a gay person in a college class.

With that said, I stick by my views, however controversial they may be.
On the topic of Charlottesville, the whole thing is a shit show, and if you are a white supremacist/nazi, you deserve whatever bullshit comes your way, both figurative and literal.
Now, do I agree with the tearing down of monuments in the south of southern generals? I do not. It’s part of americas history, weather we like it or not, and if someone decided to erect monuments to these people after the civil war, they most likely did so to shine a positive light on some of history’s “losers” so to say.
Now, since I’ve gotten this response before, no, this is not the same as, nor do i agree with statues of nazis in Germany, since fundamentally speaking, it’s a situation of applest to oranges, and they’re not really things that can be compared.

If said muslim is a US citizen, I’ve got no problem with the man. I have a problem with refuges however, and don’t think the US should accept any refugees, since they are not our problem to deal with. We should deal with the homelessness and unrest within the US first.

You should do some research. Most confederate monuments were erected around the start of Jim Crow laws and later during the civil rights movement of the 50s.
These monuments were not erected as a “part of history”, they were erected in an attempt to show minorities their place in the south.
It’s important to remember history, but honoring traitors for the sake of putting down non-whites is pretty fucking terrible.
