You can hold your applause until the end.

I, an edumacated adult with multiple years of professional experience, destroyed a college intern doing the same task even though they did the wrong task for the project.

For your time.

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

For those that made it past the eye candy. The intern was supposed to model a set of new gears for me to conduct FEA in order to determine if they will fail. They don’t exactly match the originals, so you can understand the clients worry - teeth, pitch and all the essentials match but the spoke design is drastically different. I modeled the originals based on the original drawings. The intern modeled the originals instead of the new gears. We have no prints for the new gears and a site visit doesn’t make sense when you are only modeling a gear.

The intern mocked up the gear in 23 steps with errors occurring in his steps. Mine took 11. I’m also quite sure his tooth is incorrect as well. Hah, what a loser.

In case you missed it, this is all quite tongue in cheek.

And with that, it is time to clock out early and get a haircut.
