Canadian Virginian Snow Bastard Geese
It’s amazing how much trouble they can cause and how little they care about their surroundings. Unfortunately for local residents this project has become the home for literal hundreds of these bastards.
Also the shot above, the last one is a little slow and the 2nd to last one I’m going to assume is a dick as it kept trying to chase the slow one back into traffic.

I always wondered how they taste like. I love roasted goose back in Hong Kong, but probably not the same species.

I’ve signed a petition to get my local Department of Natural Resources to start having a spring goose hunting season. That way we could start making a dent in the resident goose numbers. Fall season hunts really only target migrating birds.

Wild goose can be tougher than what you are probably accustomed to eating. I generally only eat the breast meat myself.

My biggest fear was the geese splattering and the truck loosing control, bashing through the Escapé and into myself, 15ft up in a bucket tethered in with nowhere to go.

Sadly that’s been the primary hurdle. While they’ve gone from endangered to a nuisance species it’s hard to get approval to “hunt” a species that you can just walk up to and club.
