Kinja'd!!!

I can’t even remember the last time I saw a new non business, standard cab pickup truck and they both had long beds too!

I forgot how much I prefer the looks of the standard cab too, they’re practically becoming unicorns at this point

I see a surprising number of Dodges in the classic configuration, but not so much Chevys and Fords (unless we’re including work trucks). In fact, I saw a green Silverado with a short bed, regular cab, 2WD, and a sweet set of American Racing wheels on it yesterday and got all excited since it’s been years since I saw the last one. I see nicely equipped Dodges with a regular cab and long or short beds at least once a week. Maybe Dodge dealers are more accommodating about ordering them?

I have noticed similar data. All the standard cabs I’ve recently seen are at least 7 years old but the newer ones are usually Dodge.

My dad always used to say a real pickup truck was a standard cab with a long bed. I always found it kind of sad that they are disappearing

We were visiting a friend in southern Ohio a couple weeks ago, and I was amazed by how popular regular cab trucks are there still. They were all over the place, and not just farm/work trucks either.

I currently live in Central Ohio and I believe that. I grew up in rural northern Ohio and they were everywhere there too but that was over 10 years ago

I imagine there’s a significant price difference between these and a crew cab? You don’t see many with options (like those wheels), mostly base/fleet vehicles.

Ford is only selling regular cabs in XL trim now. No more XLT regular cabs.

It was really striking how many there were running around. I enjoyed seeing them!

Yeah the standard cabs are a couple grand cheaper but they get much larger discounts as well. You can’t even get a standard cab Silverado with the 6.2!
