2017 Ford Focus SE Sedan. Has the 2.0 and an auto. Basic white on black. Has heated seats and steering wheel tho!!! Huge improvement over her twice totaled and held together with prayer ‘96 Camry, and about the same as my Cruze that she’s been using since the camry’s transmission shit the bed. She likes it. I’m glad I was able to help her get the deal. Completely changed her views on car buying, which she hated and was terrified by. Now she’s happy and even a little excited.

I had a similar Focus as a rental in 2013, I liked it a lot. Good for you if they fixed the transmission.

Niiiiiiice. Yeah the focuses are just so easy to buy right now. Used ones are going for dirt too because of both the transmission issues and the new ones having so many discounts. But new ones are just so cheap right now, how can you say no? The dealership I got my FoST from was listing a new Focus S sedan for about 12.5k. That’s a lot of car for the money.

Interestingly, my local price lists show the four door (a model few buy here) at €400 more! It also shows the very few models available as an automatic at about €2,500 extra so as you might guess hardly anyone buys these.

for 400$ i don’t understand why someone would want the sedan, when the hatch is so much better looking.
this is one case that the Hatch is way better looking than the sedan.

Two different autos were offered on the Focus and Fiesta - a traditional torque converter six-speed and a DCT. It’s the DCT that’s problematic, the regular slushbox is fine.

but as Canadians we don’t understand why Americans like their sedans.
i just want to understand why someone would prefer a sedan to a hatch. But we all have personal tastes. that i do respect.
