I was reading the FP article about the Model 3 with this picture in the heading when I realized, the 3 closely resembles the Halo 3 font style.
I’m fairly certain it’s the exact same 3 with the little jagged edges removed. Probably not enough to warrant anything like a trademark violation or something, just thought it was interesting. Does anyone know if it’s a stock font or something? I would think they ripped it off the Halo logo and made adjustments to it.
(I made a comment on the article like yesterday but doubt it was read lol)

Yeah, pretty much the same. There are a few stylization differences with the Tesla one though. Its got a bit more curve in the mid-section, and obviously it doesn’t have all the extra bits around the ends and edges like the Halo one. Still very close though.

It looks almsot exactily like the number 3 Halo uses. I’m actually surprised Bungie or 343 hasn’t come after Tesla over copy right infringement laws. Tesla also makes a T shirt that nothing else on it but that 3 which I would expect would rase a few eyebrows of those who own the rights to Halo 3. I actually liked the other 3 numeral they used to use for the Model 3 where it was three horizontal silver bars placed above one another.
