I was hoping my Turbo rebuild kit would be here by Thursday cuz I have the day off. Then I get this email. 5 days after I ordered the kit.

That’s just poor business practice. That must be very frustrating.

I ordered seatbelts for the Galaxie a month ago. Got an email four days ago that it would take another month to ship, most likely. BOOOO

Seems to me that if they didn’t let you know up front that they were out of stock, that they ought to offer you an equivalent or upgrade at no extra cost for not keeping their page up to date (and responding so late!).

I see that they’re recommending an OEM kit, so I take it that you were trying to purchase an aftermarket kit. Is OEM the better option here, or was that aftermarket kit some kind of “beefed-up” version?

Drop shippers are the worst. Be careful with folks over 10k feedback if you’re not ordering something common because their sources often don’t keep their back catalogue inventory up to date.

One of those things - I wanted belts that were ‘60s appropriate buckle style, and I wanted a color that wouldn’t look off - and there’s not a single thing in that interior in red, blue, black, or anything “normal”, so the belts kind of needed to be ivory. The company that makes them and sells through Summit makes them all to order, and apparently are backed up as hell.

Oh well. Just gotta wait for greatness.

That’s even worse because it’s not like you can just find another seller.

The kit I ordered was an OEM kit, the one their suggesting is another OEM , for a different turbo... because that’s helpful

Whoever it was that had ‘em listed on Summit. Could be wrong, but I think they were these:

Looks from that page like the ship dates might not be so dire as they thought a few days ago.

Another seller or two exists, but one of the others has lead on them as well, and any that didn’t would likely be more expensive.

This BS is how I went from needing 2 new camber bolts on the miata to owning 10 extras. I am now the Camber bolt King of California.
