Takes customer’s money, lies about completion date, ignores calls/texts, pretends they’re still “waiting for parts,” mechanic claims to be out of town until the customer shows up in person demanding his deposit back, and the customer ultimately discovers that NOTHING has been done on the car in over 3 weeks. And that’s ignoring the horrible reliability on the few cars the shop did actually complete.

Location is probably the biggest factor. When your job depends on having your Huracan for daily videos, you can’t afford to ship it 2400 miles (each way) for repairs.

Maybe not in the case of a YouTuber’s Lamborghini. But tax-incentives like these are a major reason why charities can exist. They can write-off tools, supplies and labor, while their suppliers get to unload all of last year’s products for a tax break.
At least Parker’s Huracan is a critical component to his business. Not like the NYC strip clubs whose business expenses include leopard-skin wrapped Hummers that they use for “advertising”.

You don’t “write off” cars as a business expense. You’re allowed to deduct mileage, depreciation, maintenance, and other expenses. You still pay for it. Also, if you’re claiming it for business purposes, you can’t use it personally.

Dime DRD, Dime Racing, Dime Research and Development, Steve Atneyel and Rod Shegem, have been doing the same thing to the Mercedes Benz community, Supercharged C63, C63s and AMG GTs owners as well.................... Many unhappy customers without parts paid for months earlier and cars down for months at a time. Bottomline is customer’s got back cars that ran crap or not at all and now needed fixing. Engines, transmissions and other major components taken off one customer car to finish another customer car (usually the guy who waited the longest or the guy who is more likely to sue), a parts swap ponzi scheme.
Search “Weistec Engineering” this is the previous company these guys ran and scammed investors, owners and customers. This isn’t new for these guys, it’s what they do.

I can’t say good things about either of the two, and I’ve personal experience with one of them. But I think your PSA should be the other way around unless I missed something because I refuse to watch the video.
If you’re clearly not as wealthy as you portray yourself to be, maybe you should save up for a more reliable and trustworthy shop to do the work? Do research into why Hennessey is a horrible company, especially before dropping the price of a new Corvette into your car that costs as much as a mortgage? Your PSA seems to not hold Porker accountable for choosing to work with them.

Incorrect. Realtors write off business expenses related to their cars all the time, although usually it’s in the form of mileage and 100% of maintenance/repairs.
HOWEVER, they can deduct the price of their computers if they use it for work. Does it matter if they also browse Jalopnik? Nope. 100%.
That last part gives you a little insight on why he kept saying that he was adding twin turbos SOLELY for his viewers.

I unlike most these losers have dealt with dime. My full build on my s63 has taken longer but instantly I was offered my money back. They have not lost touch with me ever. Any man sitting around to bash another man is a coward.
