This time, it’s so tiny that I am surprised I even noticed it. I wish I hadn’t. Because now that I know it’s there, it’s bugging me.

It’s right behind the driver’s side rear door, almost above the rear wheel. If my car wasn’t so shiny all the time (even when it’s dirty), I probably wouldn’t have been able to see it.

I’m trying to resist the urge to call the PDR guy. I guess it’s inevitable to have a small ding or two since the car will be two-years-old come October 15th. Doesn’t mean I like it, though.

Sigh.

I’m like you in this aspect.

I really can’t get over dings or imperfections in my cars, I have the urge to keep the car “like-new” - in my mind people will judge me if my car has a dent or whatever, even if it is a dent only I can see - I consider taking it to the PDR guy twice a month.

The only way to stay sane about car dings is to remind yourself that there’s no point in fixing dents that will just be replaced with proper use in the real word.

And medication. Medication helps too.

Also, they’ll charge you at $100 to start. So tell yourself you do it when you get up enough of a list to make it worth while.

And then put it off until you sell the car.

You are going to die very young if you keep this up.

Oh who am I kidding. I notice any and every new dent, even in my scrappy cars. Found a huge scratch caused by a branch on my wife’s car and damn near clenched my chest.
