So I tried the Meguiars Back to Black and I have to say he works well. My CRV here below. We’ll see how long it lasts:

Goo Gone really puts a shine on plastic too, not sure how long it will last. I needed it to remove tar from the rocker panels on my outback.

I use goo gone with graphics and I think a solvent like that would help dry out the material over time. This stuff looks like you put lotion on skin, it’s pretty good stuff. I taped off the paint, it says not to get it on there. Touch ups will probably be easier I think. But the first time you do it it’s better to do two or three coats in a few hours.
