Fortunately I work with a bunch of reasonable people who would not think of doing the verbal equivalent of shitposting during business hours, otherwise I’d be wary of venturing into the office this morning.
OTOH, Mom’s Jeep blew the transmission cooler lines, so I could spend the day fixing that instead of sitting in front of a computer all day.

I can feel you pain. or so I think. My office is right across from the kitchen.
Goods:
1) Smell awesome food.
Bad
1) Some people are not aware of the issues of heating fish fingers in microwave/
2) Some people are no aware of how fast popcorn goes from ready to burnt.
Terrible:
1) I get to hear people’s stories as to what they did on their weekend and last night and 2 mins ago and what they plan on doing.
2) Racist fucks don;t even care / realize what the heck they are going off about and that they are in an office / professional environment.
Solution:
My door stays closed for the most part. and I still get to hear a lot of folks.

Oh yes, popcorn does go from perfect to burned hair smell within a 10 second window. Anything fish should indeed never be cooked in an office setting. Goes double with fancy cheeses. It’s an open area here but the microwave is about 8 ft. from me. Never fails when I forget my lunch and don’t have cash to go get something that everyone decides to bring some very delicious smelling food :(
