Don’t

They do take forever to ship but I figured hey I do get a 30% discount and they are quality brand names. Duralast calipers, Brembo rotors..... oh wait they sent me just fucking one of those. So yeah apparently even though their picture shows this:

Kinja'd!!!

Only one is included. Nowhere on the page does it say they only include one outside of the singular “rotor” but even then why show two in the picture. You can see the vents on the left rotor just fine so why do you need a side profile in the same image?

Kinja'd!!!

It even says in the bottom “Quantity per car: 2" which just adds to the confusion. Thanks to this I’m not going to be able to make the sunday cruise up to Bear Mountain with my club.

I don’t know that i’ve ever purchased a pair of rotors as one line item before.

Me either. I have never understood why they are always sold as single rotors. Not many cases where you would be replacing a single rotor.

Fair enough but you can see why their listing is overly confusing..

I have to disagree. I bought a full set of rotors and pads for my wife’s Town & Country from Autozone online, and with free shipping, it was much cheaper than any other retailer, either brick & mortar or online, even RockAuto. And they shipped in a reasonable amount of time. I understand your confusion as to whether there is one or two rotors, but still, the online order form states that there is a quantity of “1".

It’s pretty obvious that you need two rotors. Maybe we can make a safe space for car part ordering?

I guess I’ve gotten so used to the multiple images and “qty per car” memos that I instantly assume it’s one part, even though it doesn’t explicitly say. But if you’re new to ordering parts, I can totally see the confusion. It’s just something you have to get used to.

FWIW, Autozone’s “recommend replacement in pairs” memo does imply that you have the option to purchase only one. But yeah, it would be better if they just spelled out the quantity right there in the product details to remove all doubt. Summit’s pretty good about that.

Bought calipers for the z 2 weeks ago left side was perfect right side was mislabeled and completely wrong. Took it to a brick and mortar store who acknowledged it as a mistake on their part, refunded the return, and ordered the correct part. Found out a week later that they charged me a 20% restocking fee for the incorrect part but by the time I realized my parents had already thrown out the box with the receipts in it.

I’ve never seen rotors sold as a “pair”

I’ve replaced a single rotor before, one of the calipers on my truck froze and i didn’t know it until i was metal on metal with the pad and the rotor. The rotor was f’d on one side but fine on the other, so i only replaced one. Plus changing the rotors on an older F150 requires disassembling the entire hub, so screw doing more than i have to.

I now do Rockauto and pick a high carbon pair by Pagid, Centric (Stoptech), Beck/Arnley or Bosch. No issues, they are usually sold in singles so you have to pick 2 but they are decent. I have less rust issues than others if you are in a road-salt state. plus they seem to grab better than cheap steel.
