“Corporate Challenge” volleyball tournament was going well until I came down from a spike wrong.
I felt my ankle bone hit the floor as my foot rolled under. Immediately knew it was very very sprained.
Under that ice it looks like I’m trying to smuggle a softball in my ankle.
Shout out to Jake (of broken Jag fame) for coming to pick me and the TA up and drive my broken self home.
Looks like I won’t be walking to work for a while.
On the plus side, my spike scored and my team won the game.

Worth it. Glad it’s a sprain and not a break. Could have gone much worse.

Yeah, definitely could’ve been worse. The pain and swelling weren’t too bad (after the initial pain) because the on site medic got ice to me fast. I’m pretty miserable now though.
