I’m curious as to what the Orange Shitgibbon’s take on this is. Also, hope everyone is safe.
Also, as an outsider, I’m surprised at how the Police acted in this instance when the protest was considered unlawful and some protesters were clearly armed to their teeth. Especially comparing that to Ferguson, where the Police were almost completely militarised. I’ve heard nothing about police action in Charlottesville.

He came out with some mealy-mouth denunciation of “all sides.” It’s odd for someone who can make such targeted attacks on former FBI directors, fathers of dead soldiers, etc.
It’s quite astonishing that he doesn’t even have the courage to denounce Nazis by name, perhaps the easiest thing to do in American politics.

I wasn’t talking about just this situation. My perspective is that on the far right they hate people based on color and sex, and the left hates anybody that doesn’t think the same way they do. This situation is an example of the rights hate and UC Berkeley is and example of the lefts hate. I’m Iranian and have been called a racist just for advocating libertarian economic policies or one time for wearing a Gadsden flag shirt.

There is a difference in hating a person based solely on traits they have no control over, as in skin color and ethnicity, and hating someone for what they think and do as a result of their views. I don’t advocate hate at all, but if folks want to hate on someone for what they say or do, well then that seems okay to me. On the flip side, if somebody wants to hate someone just because they are some ethnicity or race that they don’t like, that’s no bueno.

Your right that example isn’t the same caliber of hate, but there has been violence from the left lately over people thinking differently than they do. (Hints why I brought up Berkeley) I just wish we could stop contributing motives to people’s beliefs. I am extremely liberal on social issues and very conservative on economic issues. If I was to only tell a Antifa member about my econmic beliefs they would contribute motive and say I’m a nazi fascist and hit me in the face with a bike lock. Like what Eric Clanton, a collage professor, did to people in Berkeley. Also if I told the far right protestors today about my social beliefs they would react with violence as well.
