So I’ve started the moving process. I went over this morning and packed some stuff up and loaded my car up. It wasn’t easy. Got to my parents with said things that won’t be making the move with me and set about with the car. New front pads and rotors. Scrubbed the wheels and rotated while they were off. Clean wheels on a dirty car works, right?
Well, I’m not sure if it’s more being home with my parents or the working on the car but I feel better than earlier when I was at the house. Working on cars usually relieves a lot of stress for me. The sense of accomplishment after it’s all done makes things feel better. That and I get to see my dogs.

Oh yeah. I know all too well how that goes. Been there myself and all that.
But speaking of time machines, one thing that DID help me was to kinda think of it in a time machine sort of way. Tell yourself “a year from now I won’t be feeling like this. I’ll be in a different place, doing different things and this will be a year in the past.”
You’ll be here next year, Ducky. And this moment will eventually be a part of your past, too.
In the meantime, please remember that you are amazing. You’re kind, funny, smart, and compassionate. Your doggos love you and you love them. <3
