Light turns green we all pull away. Somebody pulled out of the McDonalds, across 2 lanes to cut him off immediately after this photo, he darted through a gap between the offending Buick and the Land Cruiser in the left lane. Once beside the Buick he went full throttle........ wow, I got a little light headed, the intake noise was like an incredibly angry vacuum combined with the growling of the engine, I’ve never heard a car seem more alive. Can you tell that I live in an area which is deprived of nice cars?

No freaking way. We live in the same town. There’s another Oppo In Parkersburg?! There are some cool cars here, you just need to know where to look. The son of the superintendent of schools has a 458, there was a doctor with a huracan, a local lawyer drives a 360 spider.

I’m more of a super-lurker. I only have a permit, but I rock a silk blue mk7 golf! I thought I was too! Did they get that fire contained over by where that picture was snapped? I take it you aren’t on any of the terrible car pages locally? Also, there’s supposed to be an autocross at the mall in September. My mom might run the golf.

I’ve got a White Toyota Solara, as far as the fire goes I’m not sure, didn’t see any smoke. I’ve always thought the mall would be an awesome place for auto cross. One winter I spent about an hour in the parking lot sliding the car around after an ice storm.

It should be. It’s an SCCA event. The problem with car events around here. Cars and coffee in particular, is that everyone involved with the car scene drives the crappiest stuff known to man, and it never works for the show. I went to a cars and coffee in June. There was me with the golf, a Miata that was torn apart with no dash, and a blobeye that was misfiring.

It’s not because of a lack of nice cars (in my neighborhood alone, there’s a boxster, 911, hellcat, classic corvette, mustang Mach 1, raptor, and Porsche 928) it’s because they market it amongst themselves, In a closed Facebook group.

I watched a newer black Grand Cherokee pull out on//cut off a Boxter Spyder earlier. Dude in the Porsche just gave a little “WTF” gesture and braked hard.
