I want to know three vehicles for the 2018 model year that are helping to keep your love of cars. If there aren’t three or any new/upcoming vehicles that caught your interest then I’d still like to hear your thoughts.
2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk
It has the same acceleration numbers as the ZL1 1LE but for cheaper than a 450-550 hp Levante S, Cayenne GTS, or Range Rover Sport Supercharged. Plus, I love my WK2, want the SRT, fantasize about the Hellcat engine, love that it’s under the radar (relatively speaking). It’s my perfect daily!
2018 Kia Stinger GT
This isnt a surprise in the slightest, you know Im all about Kia (and Genesis is getting me really hyped). Ive been waiting for this car since 2011 which is months prior to when I became an enthusiast.
2018 Maserati Granturismo Convertible
This is a car I didnt know existed until 2012, which was when I really got into cars. The updates were all I needed. I’m happy, this is the one I want, gimme gimme!

I think Hyundai/Kia are really starting to knock it out of the park with respect to interior styling on their new and upcoming compacts (see also: Hyundai Ioniq). Everything just looks so clean and rational and cohesive. I would need to see the vehicles in person to determine seat comfort, ergonomics, and materials quality, but things look promising at first glance. I’m also interested in engine and transmission offerings, as I’m getting tired of having a torque converter and would like my next car to be a manual or a dual-clutch automatic.

New cars? That’s hard. Maybe some new Abarth (124?). Or the new Megane RS or the 308 GTi?
Almost everything is a crossover nowadays. Or hideous. Or overweight. Or uncommunicative. Or just ugly. Or everything combined. Ugh.

2018 Audi A6 – the last year of its generation before all those carefully-designed Audi buttons & switches get replaced by capacitive touch panels like in the A8. Also the last year of that sweet supercharged V6. Reviews say it drives better than a new 5-series (some even said it drove better than an F10), and the forums say its reliable. The problem: expensive.
2018 BMW M4 – manual trans, manual e-brake, RWD M-car. Won’t be any more of those once this one goes out of production. The LCI for MY18 has the right cosmetic changes that really set the car apart. The problem: even more expensive.
2018 GT350 – they’ve decided to extend the production to MY18 (awesome), while not applying the droopy-faced facelift to it (even more awesome). Plus, the hype has died down somewhat so you can expect to buy one under MSRP now (mostly b/c it’s not an R).
