This came into the shop today:
It had the Rosewood Brown exterior repainted, and was originally equipped with aftermarket leather from our company way back in 92.
Now,even though he’s the original owner we don’t provide warranty for something that old. But for about $1000, he got this:

Odometer read 284,322 and the owner said it broke about 10 years ago, so he might have closer to 400k on it...

It’s the same color. That’s what happens when you’re in the driver’s seat for 400k miles. Sweat, skin oils, lotions, etc... they all eventually get into the leather.

Damn, someone obviously loves his car. Good for this guy. Although being an early 90's Honda, I do wonder what number transmission he’s on. I know (unfortunately) from experience on this one.

Lifetime warranty on leather? Is that assuming most people won’t keep the cars long enough for the leather to tear?

The company hedges their bets on the fact that most people keep their cars 5-8 years. The leather they sell to other installers is only 3/36 though.

Those seats seem to last quite well, too. At 400k and 25 years, I would expect more damage on leather seats.
