You know Porsche would have mid-engined the RSR anyway. Ford didn’t really break the rules, they played the old Porsche card of promising to build production versions and being allowed to race on that promise. To Ford’s credit, however, they are actually making good on it, instead of building two 911GT1 Strassenversion. Ford did sandbag the shit out of everyone last year though, but Ferrari did too.
