I’ll take the miserable winters here in exchange for maybe the best summers in the world.

I’m probably the only human in the south that doesn’t like cold temps. If the humidity stays under 50%, gimmie mid to upper 90's all year boooiii!!!!

Once it goes under 50, i’m ded :(

That’s an alien idea west of the mountains here, although AC is becoming more common - but this still has to be one of the few places in the world where an existing 1MM+ house likely won’t have it. My little AC unit is beginning to have issues, but should make it through the current warm and dry spell (warm here is above 80-85 or so).

I like cooler temps. I didn’t turn the heat on once last winter.

I would but I dont even have 1k of disposable money. You said the Esprit is a pain to work on. Is it just the newer ones or are the S2 and S1 also a pain?

Kinja'd!!! "EL_ULY" (uly)
08/11/2017 at 10:00, STARS: 1

14 and up Evora and 400 are rad, especially the 400. Early Evora were just a modern Esprit as far as quality. I like how the Esprit looks, sounds and it is FLIPPIN INCREDIBLE to drive like all Lotus once the R compound tires warm up. NOTHING drives like a Lotus period. They are THE best driving cars...... but

If I had to choose a car that I can definitely say is the worst quality vehicle ever made from my 15+ years of wrenching, it would be the Esprit followed by Lagonda. It’s not the things failing, it’s the absolute battle to mend things. Everything is an absolute war to try and mend. I’m talking the process all together.

Diag without destroying something else in the process.’

Asking HQ for help when HQ doesn’t even know what the hell could be wrong.

HQ not following up on specific technical questions.

HQ saying that parts are available when they are secretly finding a 3rd party to make them.

Waiting for HQ 7 months to finally ship a simple item.

Finding out that Lotus engineers designed the car assuming nothing was going to break aka making things impossible to reach.

Having to take more things than common to remove a part simultaneously breaking other sheeet. Impossible not to break something.

HQ not having the special tools that their tech bulletin says you need

And so on forever and always!

I was in Dallas last Saturday, it was still insanely HOT! Just a couple more months duuude! When I lived in San Antonio, it got pretty hot too but way less humidity helped and not as many mosquitoes. With that rain we got earlier in the week, we are out numbered 80 bazillion mosquitoes per citizen.

Yeah, all summer the temperatures have actually been reasonable but we get a spritz of rain 3-4 days a week which has kept the humidity sky high.

On the plus side I don’t think we’ve been above 95 in two weeks and the evenings have been downright pleasant, which is huge success for August.
