That is much better than even using plastic blades, which is quite surprising. And once you get the technique down it’s super easy and fast.

Yeah plastic blades damage paint. Larry Kosilla would have a heart attack watching someone remove something with plastic blades.

I swear he took the GTR badge off with a plastic blade. Or at least it was one tool he used.

Yeah goo gone would work, it would just take a lot of time. I prefer a can of 3M Adhesive Remover since its 9 out of 10 shot that it is 3M tape holding the part to your car in the first place. Who better to make something to remove something from your car than the company that made the tape in the first place.

I thought there’s a video of him using plastic blades to remove really old 3m clear film, but it might’ve been somebody else?

Okay so I’m not crazy and he did use a plastic blade.

I wonder what his thoughts are on the 3M eraser.

We put corrosion coupons on a handful of state vehicles every winter to measure the real-world corrosive effects of our deicing products. The adhesive on those is STRONG, and the 3M wheel is basically the only thing that’ll get it off without taking the paint too.

You have peaked my interest, how bad are the corrosive effects of the deicing products?

Olive oil works pretty effectively if just the adhesive is left.

Nice. Oxy-acetylene torch works pretty well too.

Actually really minimal. One of the specs we require is 30% as corrosive as NaCl, and usually what we end up buying is only about 25% as corrosive. The last round of coupons we tested had almost no visible corrosion except in isolated spots. I wish I had pictures to post!

These wheels are fantastic. It was only after my internship that I discovered fantastic has a really real price tag(relatively pricey).

Erasers are pretty standard professional tools and you have to be really bad to mess it up.
