But the guy in the booth next to me here at Threadgill’s is having a conversation with his gf or whatever over FaceTime. Her voice is loud and tinny through the phone, and he’s talking louder than anybody else in the restaurant. Dafuq?
Interestingly, he is eating a plate of collard greens and working on his second beer. The veggies are famous here.

When we were flying back from Colorado, there was a guy that talked the entire time we were sitting at the gate to depart. Loud. All the way through the 20 minute delay too. He would literally say he had to go but then would start up an entire other discussion topic. I’ve never been so annoyed in a situation like that. It’s definitely rude.

Remember Nextel? Those cellphones with the PTT walkie-talkie-like feature? People would hold entire conversations through PTT FOR HOURS.
I’ve seen people use FaceTime while walking down the street and holding their phones up to their ear because it was too loud outside and they couldn’t hear their phones.
I’ve heard ringtones loud enough to startle passengers on opposite ends of a subway car. And then seen the person with the obnoxiously loud phone answer and set the phone on speakerphone.
What I’m trying to say is, there are stupid people out there, and there ain’t a single fucking shit we can do about it.
