I went for another ride. For those of you with Strava it is possible to get a voice update by distance. I went with a friend this time and had plenty of time to stop and enjoy the scenery while waiting for him to catch up. What usually takes me 25 minutes (at a fast pace) took 75 minutes.

Well, that and posting here. Sorta slacking, I guess.

Mostly, I am feeling jealousy. Both for the fantastic riding and for you completing your exams. My wife has finally (!) started working on hers. She starts testing again next month.

I think she switched over, but I’m not sure. She had issues with the drawing portion of the last exam she took. She hasn’t been a CAD jockey for years and skills that aren’t exercised eventually get lost.

The drawing prtion isn’t even CAD. It’s some ghetto type knockoff developed just for the exam

So we discovered. She’s old school Autocad. Learned everything on the command line. She gets tripped up with all the menus and buttons.

if she wants to get good at it fuck it and learn Revit remove all the menus and learn the key commands. I learned on AutoCAD R14. Thats not super old school but still pretty old school

That was how she used to do it. All keys, no menus. It’s been 15, wait, no, 20 (!) years since she was a CAD jockey. She didn’t give herself enough time or enough practice to get fast enough to complete the test in the time limit. I’m hoping this next round will be better.
