C4 also has the lowest drag coefficient of any Corvette with the lights down. No wonder the Sledgehammer was a thing!

Agreed (although I prefer other variants of gen 1 Mustang), agreed (but still not happy with the way it looks compared to pre-facelift) and definitely agreed (although it was outclassed by its competition on every front but price).

I agree with everything, in fact, I find the 2018 Mustang to be quite good looking. The wheels on that ‘71 are excellent.

Considering that we went through an age of nearly every car looking like this:
A lot of cars from the 70s that were once thought of as ugly have seemed to age well in comparison.
The late 1st gen Mustangs definitely have aged well.

Probably because I grew up in the 90s, I have a soft spot for 90s jellybean styling.
Also the SVT Contour was kinda sorta decent.

The SVT looks better, but I just can’t like the half melted jellybean look. To me, they took the lean 80's look and chubbed it up, so they just look like heavier and less athletic versions of what they used to be.
By looks alone, I’d rather have an 80s Tempo than a Contour. Especially in coupe or wagon form.

90s jellybean styling has not aged very well, and 80s boxy styling is certainly good on some cars. There are many boxy 80s cars I appreciate. I love 80s Honda boxy styling vs 90s Honda jellybean styling. Cars like the EF Civic & CRX bridge the boxy/jellybean gap. But the Tempo is just
ugh
