Kinja'd!!!

Just got around to getting summer tires and wheels for the outback, normally I use gold rims for winter tires...but these looked too good not to put them on now.

Looks good! For my XT I typically have my Stockers (painted black) on in the summer and my white Sparco Terras on in the winter, but I’ve debated swapping the order on occasion because rally wheels

This seems like the opposite of what would typically happen...

I dipped my BRZ’s stock wheels gold, then bought a set of gold wheels for summer. They went perfectly with the car’s World Rally Blue paint.

My WRX is Galaxy Blue Pearl, but I’m still pondering dipping its stock wheels gold as well.

Never dipped wheels might have to try it some day. How well does it hold up? The stock wheels on the outback might need to be dipped...but they are my winter wheels now so they’ll see much more abuse.

I drove them through 3 winters before trading the car in. It held up quite well. It began to peel a little bit around the holes for the lug nuts, but never enough to see with the wheels on the car, or to touch up.

Best of all, after the dealer peeled it off to resell the car, the wheels looked as good as new.
