Imagine the schools get a few bucks for each plate. Thats how it was in Ohio when I did BGSU plates for a few years. All of a sudden I’m getting pinged to donate money to the school because evidentially $50 from the plates goes to the school each time someone purchases special plates. I assume the big 10 plates are similar. Pretty cool though.

You can bet they are getting their little slice for each plate, it’s a licensing thing for sure. They might as well get a little something.
