Probably not the safest to use, then. I believe tires are only rated for 10 years from the date of production.

I’d run them through summer, (making sure they are properly inflated,) then get some new ones before winter... (but I’m cheap...)

The tires I used to have on my crown vic were a little weathered but not cracked when I got the car. I ran them until the wear bars were almost gone, then one day noticed a few dime-sized chunks of rubber had decided to leave. I replaced them the next day with older, but again not cracked yet no-name tires...
They’re starting to crack a little bit, but the car is not long for this world so I really don’t want to replace them... they’ll be fine until I put the snows on in the fall.
