I almost feel bad for this poor dude who pulled his Lotus over in midtown Manhattan just so he could rescue his runaway phone from under the driver’s seat - which, given the size of the Lotus, was one of the most intricate acts of automotive ballet; a gentle courtship, or graceful dalliance between man and machine bearing the fruit of a Galaxy 7.
Anyways, while watching the tender caressing of the hard, plastic, manually-operated seat lever to move the thing back and forth about 100 times in a fit of frustration, I was struck by the magnificent fit and finish of such a fine vehicle.
That’s a cupholder that mounts to the inner window rail.

An Elise not the cup holder. Poor power to weight ratios with those MY cup holders.

Technically isn’t that an Exige?

I was trying to figure it out and decided no spoiler = no Exige

Also no coupe = no Exige

Pretty sure that is aftermarket. The Engineer at Lotus in Detroit that I met boasted how they didn’t bow to American demands of cup holders in the Elise and Exige.

I was pretty sure the mesh hatch style engine cover meant Exige. The Elise has a flat engine cover like this

Yeah, that’s an Exige - removing the roof isn’t recommended, but it’s allowed.
